Preach Love Not Hate

One Day, The Voices of Those in Venango County Who Have Lived Too Long in the Shadows, In Fear and Isolation, Due to Anti-LGBT Bigotry, Harassment, and Discrimination Will Also Rise Up Against Those Who Promote Division and Hate.

So, While Watching This Video, Imagine, Just Imagine, That Moment by Substituting Vengango County's Own Hate Group, the American Family Association of Pennsylvania, in the Place of this Video's Target, Scott Lively and his Abiding Truth Ministry.

"Scott Lively is one of the most outspoken leaders of the anti-gay movement both nationally and internationally. He is more than just hateful rhetoric; he has played a major role in legislating the criminalization of homosexuality here in the U.S. and in Uganda. Today Occupy Springfield marched on his "Holy Grounds" coffee shop demanding a stop to this hatred. It is appalling that this bizarre little hate cult is operating right on State St across from STCC! Check out the video as we run into Lively and his oddball collection of confused Tea-hadists who put their Libertarian routine aside for a day to get in a little old fashioned homophobia,& Beck following nuts who ironically think everyone left of lunatic right is with the defunct ACORN. A few garden variety kooks with the direct line to Jesus round out the squad. Hopefully you'll be as outraged as we are after hearing his "sermon" of violent hatred today."

Is this hate?

4 And He answered and said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning MADE THEM MALE AND FEMALE, 5 and said, ‘FOR THIS REASON A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH’? Matthew 19:4-5

Rob, we continue to hold the hope that you'll get the help you need, and in the meantime, do no more harm. Wishing you and yours well.

But what's your answer to the question? You continue to eschew my questions. How come?

Come on Robbie,

Even you must get tired of the endless and selective use of this book, or that book, this text or that text, by "religious" ideologues hellbent on manipulating "the faithful" to support an agenda that worships at the altar of greed and xenophobia.

Again, for your sake, and the sake of all those harmed by this madness, we hope you will soon be liberated.

In Peace

Oh Robbie,

"And so we find ourselves here again. Doing the thing we do best: misinterpreting the Bible and ruining lives with it."

It's absolutely true that if you find nothing in the Bible to condemn you of sin, forgiveness is of no value to you. For me, I find things to condemn me. Matthew 5:28 says, "...everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart." I'm guilty. Therefore, I seek and find the forgiveness offered by the Savior. If His sacrifice means what the scriptures teach, then the penalty of my condemnation has been paid. Pastor Sandlin finds no condemnation in scripture for homosexuality. That's fine. But I'm sure he finds at least one sin which condemns each one of us. If that's true and Jesus death, burial and resurrection is sufficient for forgiveness, then there is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1). If not, then your sin remains on you.
