Is LGBT Harassment A Problem In Venango County Schools?

Though bullying is a problem for many kids in school, students who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT), or perceived as such, can face a particularly hard road. They are frequently the targets of teasing, ostracism, and even violence, and the consequences go well beyond hurt feelings.

A survey by the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network found that harassed LGBT students are more likely to cut class and have lower GPAs than LGBT students who feel safe at school. Some schools have successfully created gay-straight alliances to promote tolerance, but others are reluctant to tackle the issue, or have been stymied by legislation meant to discourage such programs.

Are LGBT students harassed about their sexual orientation at your school?

Even though homosexuality appears in many other species, there are a small group of people who continue to vent their personal demons on homosexuals, then claim that their God told them to do, because homosexuality is against nature.

People need to understand that when you lie to yourself about your sexuality, it causes agression within yourself.

All that pent up sexual energy gets released by attacking other people.

In other words, bullies are getting off sexually by harassing, and threatening homosexuals.

There are two studies that have been done about this, which you can find online.

Furthermore, these people have an odd notion of God and faith.

Homosexuals belong to religions, believe in God and lead moral lives.

But these gay bashers assume to know the will of God, better than God.

They assume to judge, jury and convict, all in the name of God.

What kind of faith is that?

Fine. If you don't like homosexuality, then don't engage in homosexual sex.

But if other do, then how does that harm you, other than to stir up your own fears of being homosexual?

Isn't faith about being honest and living your truth?

So why tell me my truth? According to your religion, that is between God and me.

Faith.
